Resident Evil, also known as Biohazard originally released in 1996 on the PlayStation. The third-person shooter has players take control of trained operatives tasked with dealing with a zombie outbreak and other menacing creatures, with a heavy focus on inventory management. Most known for the highly popular video games that contune to be critically and commerically succesful, the franchise has expanded beyond games to film as well.
