Product Description
Three wasp species (Megalara garuda, Vespa mandarinia, and Vespa simillima xanthoptera) appear as highly detailed three-dimensionalized figures. A CT scan was conducted on a specimen of each kind of wasp in order to thoroughly and accurately reproduce their unique shape, coloring, and physical features. Each model comes with a display stand.
The Garuda Wasp, also known as the King of Wasps, have only recently been re-discovered as a living species. Their jet black coloring and intimidating size makes it no surprise that they earned the title of "King" among their kind.
Unlike the previous model produced by Bandai, the glossy features of the Giant Asian Hornet and the Japanese Yellow Hornet are limited to only parts of the body as to better replicate the real appearance of the bug. The wing branches, which lacked coloring in its old model, now features accurate coloring.
An overwhelmingly realistic coloring goes beyond what capsule toys typically bring to life. By making all the joints of the legs movable, you can rest each figure on a desk in an anatomically correct pose. When displaying it on its respective display stand, you can fold the legs and display it in a state of midflight. Intersections on the thighs and legs allow for various posing.
