Minerva X is a female robot intended to be Mazinger Z's partner; however, her plans were stolen by Baron Ashura, who built her using inferior materials. She also had an AI installed instead of a human pilot; unfortunately for Baron Ashura, the AI made her loyal only to Mazinger, so she was able to escape Baron Ashura and join up with Mazinger Z.
